Muara's beach carnival to enliven festivity
By Achong Tanjong

Mukim Serasa Consultative Council's executive committee is set to hold Beach Carnival 2006 (Pesta Pantai 2006) on July 30 at Muara Beach in conjunction with His Majesty's 60th Birthday celebrations.

The carnival is organised annually by the Mukim Serasa Consultative Council as part of its effort to contribute to the birthday festivities.

Among the activities lined up for the event is a colouring and drawing competition, which is divided into four categories: A for ages four and five; B for ages six and seven; C for ages eight and nine; and D for ages 10 and 11.

Drawing and colouring papers will be provided by the organiser upon registration, though participants must bring along their drawing and colouring equipment.

The contest will begin at 10 am and children will have a one-and-a-half hours to complete their works.

Winners will receive attractive prizes and their entries exhibited at the carnival.

Other fun activities have also been organised for adult members of the public. - Borneo Bulletin (12th July 2006)
