His Majesty is in Abu Dhabi for a three-day state visit to UAE

His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is in the United Arab Emirates for a three-day state visit. His Majesty was greeted upon arrival at the Abu Dhabi International Airport by Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who is also the Deputy Chief Commander of the Armed Forces and the Chairman of the United Arab Emirates “MAJLIS EKSEKUTIF DIWAN”.

Also present to greet His Majesty were the UAE’s Cabinet Ministers and Brunei Darussalam’s Ambassador to the country, His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Adnan bin Haji Zainal. His Majesty was later entertained to a luncheon hosted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, in honour of His Majesty’s visit. The luncheon was held at the Armed Forces’ Officers Club in Abu Dhabi.

His Majesty then left for Dubai on a special vehicle. On the way, His Majesty made a stop at the Abu Dhabi’s Royal Mausoleum for a visit and to pay respect to the Al-Marhum Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former President of the United Arab Emirates who passed away recently. At the end of the visit, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also consented to sign smart board. His Majesty arrived at Burj Al-Arab Hotel in Dubai late Monday afternoon, local time. (18th Apr 2006)
