Royal messages to China

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to President Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China and Mr Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China on the occasion of the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that had so long been established between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China. His Majesty hoped that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty also hoped that Mr Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China would always remain in good health and happiness and for the people of the People's Republic of China to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

At the same time, in a similar congratulatory message to Mr Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, His Majesty congratulated him and the Government and people of the People's Republic of China on the occasion of the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations that had been long established between the two countries. His Majesty also expressed his wish that this will be maintained and enhanced in the future for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples. His Majesty also wished Mr Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council, of the People's Republic of China his continued health and happiness and for the prosperity of the people of the People's Republic of China.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam sent a similar congratulatory message to Mr Li Zhaoxing, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

HRH Prince Mohamed in his message congratulated Mr Li Zhaoxing and the government and people of China on the 57th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

HRH expressed his satisfaction with the activities that had been taking place to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Brunei-China diplomatic relations and thanked Mr Li Zhaoxing for all the hard work that had gone into making the anniversary a great success.
