Show of unity at KB's Padang Bandaran

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send congratulatory messages to Mr Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Dr Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on occasion of the National Day of Egypt.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that had so long been established between Brunei Darussalam and Egypt. His Majesty expressed hope that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the mutual benefits of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty prays to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala that Mr Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, President of Egypt, would always remain in good health and happiness and for the people of the Egypt to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

At the same time, in a congratulatory message to Dr Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of Egypt, His Majesty congratulated the prime minister and the government and people of Egypt on the occasion of their National Day.

His Majesty expressed satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations that had been long established between the two countries. His Majesty also expressed his wish that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the mutual benefits of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty prays to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for the continued good health and happiness of Dr Ahmed Nazif and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Egypt.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent his warmest congratulations to Mr Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and to the government and people of Egypt on their National Day.
