Monarchs attend Friday prayers

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan yesterday attended Friday prayers at Jame' Asr' mosque in Kiarong.

They were greeted on arrival by Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Dato Seri Utama Dr. Ustaz Hj Mohd Zain and senior government officials.

Also present were His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Prince Abdul Malik.

His Majesty King Abdullah II left yesterday afternoon shortly after the Friday prayers.

Present to bid farewell were His Majesty, HRH Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Prince Abdul Malik.

His Majesty King Abdullah II was in the country for a three-day private visit during which the Jordanian King received the Special Combat Squadron Honorary Badge and Beret from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. - Borneo Bulletin (4th Mar 2006)
