Her Royal Highness at Peepolykus show

Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah last night enjoyed a performance by Peepolykus, (pronounced 'People like us') one of the UK's premier comic theatre groups. The entertaining performance took place at the Dewan DiGadong, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Among those in attendance was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Awang Haji Jemat bin Hj Ampal.

Peepolykus is brought to Brunei by the British High Commission as part of its Public Diplomacy Season called "Britain in Brunei 2006 - 100 years of Friendship", to mark three significant and important milestones - acknowleding 100 years of friendship between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom, to mark His Majesty the Sultan's 60th birthday and Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II's 80th birthday celebrations.

Principal sponsors are HSBC and BAE Systems and additional support for this event was provided by CfBT, Royal Brunei Airlines & the British Council.

The group which came to Brunei after recent performances in Bangladesh, Greece, Bogota and Manila has received rave reviews on the UK Daily Telegraph proclaiming the show as " Brilliantly and infectiously funny" and the Guardian declaring it as "One of UK's most engaging theatre companies and wonderful entertainment for both adults and children".
