Royal audience for three envoys

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office yesterday afternoon consented to receive three foreign envoys in audiences at the Istana Nurul Iman.

First to be received in audience was Mr U Tin Htun, the outgoing Union of Myanmar's Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam. Mr Htun has been ambassador since November 1, 2005.

Next in audience was Mr Bounthong Vongsaly, the outgoing Lao People's Democratic Republic's Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam and who has been an envoy since July 10, 2001.

This was later followed with Mr Mohamad bin Jameel Abdul Jaleel Hashim, the newly appointed Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, who had presented his Letter of Credential before His Majesty the Sultan on July 9, 2007.

Also present during the audiences was Pg Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Hamid bin Pg Haji Mohd Yassin, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office. - Borneo Bulletin (10th August 2007)
