Audience to Thai Army General By Yusrin Junaidi Photo: Info Dept His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), yesterday consented to receive in audience the Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, General Boonsrang Niumpradit at the Istana Nurul Iman. Accompanying the Royal Thai Armed Forces Supreme Commander was the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Hj Md Yussof and M L Suparat Devakul, Acting Ambassador of Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam. Also present at the audience ceremony were Dayang Hajah Salbiah binti Hj Sulaiman, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, and Hj Rashid bin Hj Abd Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. The three-day official visit by General Boonsrang Niumpradit is aimed at strengthening the friendly relations and to expand the defence cooperation between the two countries, as well as the armed forces. Meanwhile, in a separate audience Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to receive the wife of the Supreme Commander of Royal Thai Armed Forces, Colonel Doctor Nucha Niumpradit at the Istana Nurul Iman.
