Crown Prince Tours RBLF Support Battalion

His Royal Highness Prince General Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, yesterday made a working visit to the Support Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Force in Penanjong, Tutong.

Upon arrival at the helipad, His Royal Highness was greeted by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Singamanteri Col (rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Hj Mohammad Yasmin; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Dato Seri Paduka Awg Hj Eusoff Agaki and Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi.

HRH received the general salute and inspected the guard-of-honour mounted by personnel of the Royal Brunei Land Force. HRH's visit began with a presentation mainly on the overview of the Support Battalion and various units under it, a recollection on the mission, vision and roles of Royal Brunei Land Force by its Commander, Col Pg Dato Paduka Hj Rosli.

The visit provided HRH with the opportunity of an in-depth knowledge of the unit's responsibilities, facilities and equipment currently available that are different to those observed in other infantry units that HRH had previously viewed.

HRH also signed the royal parchment and consented to a group photo session with officers and personnel of the land force. HRH then visited the Armour Reconnaissance Squadron and witnessed a marching parade weaponry-handling exercise such as the 7.62mm General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and 76mm cannon.

HRH also witnessed a driving instruction and maintenance of CVR (T) (which is a Scorpion fighting tank vehicle) engine model exercise and a demonstration of Simulator and Gun Drill (Aqualina Gunnery Training Simulator). HRH then proceeded to the Tactic Training Room to view a static display of the CVR (T) vehicle.

HRH concluded his visit at the Combat Engineering Squadron and witnessed an exhibition on field (on site) equipment and search engineer exhibition while on board the Sultan CVR (T) vehicle.
