Royal audience for new envoys

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive credentials from four newly-appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam; High Commissioner Riewad V Warjri of the Republic of India; Ambassador Abolfazl Khazaei Tarshizi of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Ambassador Tong Xiaoling of the People's Republic of China; and Ambassador Juan Jose Gomez Camacho of Mexico based in Singapore.

High Commissioner Riewad V Warjri was formerly the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Peru; Ambassador Abolfazl Khazaei Tarshizi previously served as the Deputy General Director for Coordination and Strategy of Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Ambassador Tong Xiaoling was Counsellor, Department of Asean Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China; and, Ambassador Juan Jose Gomez Camacho was General Director, Directorate for Human Rights and Democracy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico.

After receiving their credentials, His Majesty consented to grant separate audiences to the four foreign envoys at the Istana Nurul Iman.

Earlier, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, received the four newly-appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
