His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience Datuk Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs of Malaysia.
During the audience, Datuk Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal was accompanied by Datuk Ali bin Abdullah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, and Deputy Secretary General Mohamed Nor Abd Aziz.
Also present during the audience were Pehin Dato Seri Paduka Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II and Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Haji Ismail, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minster's Office.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to hold a separate audience with Datin Shuryani Dato Hj Shuaib, wife of Datuk Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal.
Accompanying Datin Shuryani Dato Hj Shuaib was Datin Wan Kamariah Wan A Rahman, wife of Datuk Ali bin Abdullah.
Both the audience ceremonies were held at the Istana Nurul Iman.
