His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send a congratulatory message to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the continued development and enhancement of relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Majesty hoped that the relations between the two countries would be maintained in the future for the good of the two countries and people.
His Majesty prayed that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would always remain in good health and happiness, and the people of Islamic Republic of Iran would always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Royal Highness said, "It gives me great pleasure to present my congratulations and best wishes to you and to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on your National Day.
"I look forward to continuing our work together to strengthen the friendship and cooperation shared by our countries."
