Royal Birthday greetings for Britain's Queen

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Prime Minister Gordon Brown on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's birthday.

In the message to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Majesty expressed much pleasure in sending his warmest congratulations on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's birthday. His Majesty stated that the people of Brunei joined him in expressing great appreciation for the warm friendship and traditional cooperation long enjoyed by Brunei and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

His Majesty also sent his very best wishes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and all members of the Royal Family.

In the congratulatory message to the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, His Majesty expressed great pleasure in sending his warmest congratulation on the celebration. His Majesty also expressed appreciation over the excellent friendship and traditional cooperation shared by Brunei and the United Kingdom and looked forward to enhancing the much valued relationship in the coming years.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to David Miliband, UK's Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

His Royal Highness expressed great pleasure in presenting his warmest respects to Her Majesty and the Royal Family and at the same time congratulated the minister, the government and people of the United Kingdom on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's birthday.
