King Abdullah II, Queen Rania visit Brunei Museum

Their Majesties King Abdullah II Ibni Al-Hussien King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah yesterday visited the Brunei Museum in the capital.

Upon arrival, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania were welcomed by the Minister of Culture Youth and Sports Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awg Hj Mohammad bin Hj Daud and spouse.

Accompanying King Abdullah II and Queen Rania was HRH Princess Hjh Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah.

Also in attendance to welcome Their Majesties were the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, as well as senior government officers, officers and staff at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the visit, both King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, led by Brunei Museum officers, were briefed and given a tour of the Shipwreck Gallery, Oil Exploration Gallery and Islamic Art Gallery.

At the end of the tour, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, accompanied by HRH Princess Hjh Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, left the museum for Istana Edinburgh. - Borneo Bulletin (14th May 2008)
