His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday presented more land lots and house keys to 117 successful applicants under the 'Skim Tanah Kurnia Rakyat Jati' for Kg Tungku and Kg Mata-Mata. The ceremony was held at Rimba Secondary School in Gadong.

The caring monarch later toured the secondary school to learn more about its facilities and to mingle with students and teaching staff.

This was followed by visits to the residences of village heads including Abdul Wahab bin Timbang @ Rosli of Kg Rimba, as well as Hj Ismail bin Hj Rahab of Kg Tungku and Kg Katok.

His Majesty also made a stop at Kesuma Mekar School in STKRJ Kampong Rimba, Gadong.

Hj Afineh bin Hj Mohd Ali, Omarali bin Hj Abdullah, Mahmud bin Hj Ahmad, Rais bin Haji Johar Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Ahmat and Matjin bin Hj Jamahat were just some of the lucky recipients under the scheme who welcomed His Majesty into their homes.

The Brunei ruler also visited some business establishments around the area such as Maju Motors Sdn Bhd and Sumbangsih Mulia in Jalan Beribi. His Majesty later drove to Kampong Delima Satu in Jalan Muara, where he visited one of the branches of DST, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), Hua Ho Department Store and HSBC. - Borneo Bulletin (17th August 2008)
