Sultan appoints New Auditor General

By command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office yesterday announced that His Majesty has consented to appoint Awang Haji Mahadi bin Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Accountant General, Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance as Auditor General to succeed Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Salmah binti Hanafiah upon completion of her contract of service.

Awang Haji Mahadi's appointment is effective from Sunday, the 15th of Sya'ban, 1429, corresponding to August 17, 2008, according to a press release. - Borneo Bulletin (17th August 2008)
