His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to join his subjects in a get-together at Seri Kenangan Community Hall Complex, Tutong District to celebrate the monarch's 62nd birthday.

Accompanying Sultan were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik and His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen.

On arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Yusof, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Dewa Pahlawan Dato Paduka Haji Awang Dani bin Haji Ibrahim and Tutong District Officer Haji Jamain bin Momin.

The event saw cultural performances, themed "Raja Disanjung Titah Dijunjung", by youths from various racial backgrounds in the district.
