His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam hosted a royal banquet for security and uniformed personnel, as well as uniformed public associations, at the Istana Nurul Iman last night.

At the dinner, His Majesty was accompanied by Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar binti Hakim Mazhar.

Also present were HRH Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah and other members of the royal family.

At the end of the banquet, His Majesty mingled with officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force, Royal Customs & Excise Department, Fire & Rescue Department, Prisons Department, Marine, Detention Centre, Ghurkha Reserve Units and Immigration Department.

The Army Cadets, Red Crescent, Girl Guides and Scouts were among the uniformed associations that attended the banquet. - Borneo Bulletin (18th July 2008)
