HRH Princess 'Azemah graduates

HRH Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah, daughter of His Majesty the Sultan the Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam was awarded a Bachelors Degree in a Convocation Ceremony held at Butterworth Hall, Warwick, Coventry on Thursday, July 17, 2008.

Her Royal Highness was awarded a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Warwick University. Amongst the attendees at the Convocation Ceremony was HRH Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bulqiah.

The degree was presented by the Chancellor of the University, Sir Nick Scheele.

After the ceremony, the Princess and her family met with the University of Warwick's Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Stuart Palmer, and the Deputy Registrar Mr Ken Sloan, to hear about the achievements of 25 other Brunei students currently attending the University of Warwick.

Fifteen of those 25 students are sponsored by the Brunei Government including some from the Public Services Commission.

The University of Warwick is one of the UK's top five research Universities and attracts some of the world's most academically able students. Currently there are 25 Brunei students attending Warwick. - Borneo Bulletin (19th July 2008)
