His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam graced the inaugural Singapore Airshow 2008 with his presence on the second day.
The Singapore Airshow, which runs from February 19-24 at the Changi Exhibition Centre, has attracted 538 international exhibitors, including Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS), a press release from RBTS said.
His Majesty consented to visit RBTS's pavilion showcasing the Brunei International Defence Exhibition, BRIDEX 2009, which will take place from August 11 to 16 at the Empire Hotel & Country Club.
RBTS has officially been appointed by the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam to organise BRIDEX 2009. The exhibition promises to provide a unique experience in defence business facilitation to exhibitors and visitors.
Recently at the Singapore Airshow, RBTS had the privilege of signing a MoU with ST Kinetics, which allows both parties to work together in the field of vehicle maintenance excellence, with RBTS tapping into ST Kinetics' expertise.
The royal entourage also visited ST Engineering, Thales and EADS amongst others. His Majesty then attended a luncheon hosted by the Minister for Defence, Singapore.
