His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the appointments and transfers of seven officers.
A Press Release from the Prime Minister's Office stated:
"By the command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office hereby announces that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the appointments and transfers of the following officers:
"Awg Hj Abd Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Hj Mohd Yussof, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office has been appointed Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.
"Awg Hj Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Hj Mohd Yusof, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has been appointed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
"Awg Hj Mohd Mahdi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Datu Laila Utama Haji Abd Rahman, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs has been transferred to the Ministry of Religious Affairs as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
"Dato Paduka Awg Serbini bin Haji Ali, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.
"Dato Paduka Awg Hj Abd Salam bin Abd Momin, Deputy Private and Confidential Secretary at the Office of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has been appointed Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
"Dr Hj Affendy bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Hj Abidin, Director General of Medical Services, Ministry of Health has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary, at the Prime Minister's Office;
"Awg Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yusof, Acting Director of Planning, e-Government and Media has been appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communications."
The appointments and transfers of the said officers will take effect today, Saturday, August 23, 2008, the press release stated.
