Royal congratulatory messages for Egypt's National Day

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam sent congratulatory messages to Hosni Mubarak, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Dr Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the occasion of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction at the warm relations and close cooperation between the two countries and his confidence that this would be maintained. His Majesty also hoped that the two countries would be able to continue to work together for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

His Majesty extended his personal best wishes for President Mubarak's continued good health and happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

In a congratulatory message to Dr Ahmed Nazif, His Majesty also wished him continued good health and happiness.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent a congratulatory message to Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Arab Republic of Egypt, and to the government and people on their National Day.

His Royal Highness would like to particularly thank Ahmed Aboul Gheit for the hospitality so kindly offered to His Royal Highness in Sharm El Sheikh during their Asia-Middle East dialogue.

His Royal Highness wishes his government much success in its efforts to build lasting peace in his region and sends his personal best wishes to Ahmed Aboul Gheit in all his work. - Borneo Bulletin (23rd July 2008)
