Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, the Ambassador-At-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, yesterday morning attended the opening ceremony of the 5th China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO) at the Nanning International Convention Centre in Nanning, China.
During the event, HRH and other heads of delegations from Asean member countries and high-level Chinese officials commemorated the fifth anniversary of the CAEXPO and jointly inaugurated the expo.
During a meeting with China's Vice Premier, Wang Qishan at the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Congress Hall, HRH expressed satisfaction over the current progress of bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and China.
HRH and the Chinese vice premier also exchanged views on ways to further enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The grand opening ceremony of the expo was witnessed Brunei's Minister of Communications, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Hj Awang Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong, and Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Hj Ahmad bin Hj Jumat.
The ministers also visited the booths of Brunei Darussalam, which were manned by officials from the Ministry of Industry & Primary Resources and the AiTi of Brunei Darussalam.
During the tour, Pehin Dato Hj Awang Abu Bakar launched "Alif's Geo Dispatcher", a new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system from Alif Technology that seamlessly integrates an interactive, near real-time map display with call handling, dispatching and record management.
HRH yesterday afternoon left Nanning for Nanjing in Jiangsu Province. Present at the airport to bid farewell to HRH were Liu Xinwen, the Vice-Chairperson of the People's Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee, and several officials of the Guangxi People's Government.
While in Nanjing, HRH will officiate the opening ceremony of the Brunei Water Courtyard situated in the Brunei Heritage Garden and meet with members from the Jiangsu Provincial Government.
Throughout the visit, HRH is being accompanied by YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar.
