Prime Minister of Kuwait begins 3-day visit to Brunei

The Prime Minister of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah arrived last night in the Sultanate to begin a three-day official visit.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, was at the Brunei International Airport to greet the prime minister.

Also present to welcome the visiting prime minister and his delegates were Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Awg Hj Ahmad Hj Jumat.

Upon arrival His Highness Sheikh Nasser received an honour guard by personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The prime minister is on an Asian tour covering Brunei, Japan, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, aimed at boosting Kuwait's friendly relations with these countries.

While in the country, His Highness will have an audience as well as a bilateral meeting with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Istana Nurul Iman. - Borneo Bulletin (25th July 2008)
