Two hundred officers and staff from His Majesty's Office yesterday performed a tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Hj Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit.

The congregation was led by Private and Confidential Secretary Pehin Dato Haji Awang Mohd Nawawi bin Pehin Haji Awang Taha and Grand Chamberlain Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin.

Ustaz Haji Abdul Rahman Mahmud, a teacher from the Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School, led the recital of al-fatihah and the tahlil.
