His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to US President George W Bush on the occasion of the July 4 Independence Day Anniversary of the United States of America.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction at the continued growth of warm relations and close cooperation between the two countries and his confidence that the two countries would continue to work together, both bilaterally and multilaterally, to promote peace and stability for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty also extended his personal best wishes for President Bush's continued good health and happiness as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the United States.

Meanwhile, His Royal Higness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

In the message, His Royal Highness extended his warmest congratulations to Condoleezza Rice, the US government and the people of the US on the occasion.
