His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to President Horst Kohler and Chancellor Angela Merkel of the Federal Republic of Germany on the occasion of the anniversary of the Reunification of Germany.

In his message to President Horst Kohler, His Majesty congratulated him on the occasion of the anniversary of the Reunification of Germany and looked to continue working with the German president in the coming year.

In a congratulatory message to Chancellor Angela Merkel, His Majesty said he appreciated the long standing friendship and cooperation enjoyed by the governments and people of Brunei and Germany.

His Majesty also wished Chancellor Angela Merkel continued good health and happiness.

Meanwhile His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany on the occasion of the anniversary of the Day of German Unity

In the message, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah sent his warmest congratulation and very best wishes to Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the government as well as people of the Federal Republic of Germany on the occasion of the anniversary of the Reunification of Germany.

His Royal Highness also expressed his happiness at the progress on the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
