His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalm yesterday consented to send a congratulatory message to President-Elect Barack H Obama, Senator of Illinois, United States of America, on the occasion of his victory in the US presidential elections.

In the message, His Majesty extended his warmest congratulations to Obama upon his victory in the presidential elections and looked forward to working closely with him to strengthen the much-valued friendship and cooperation with the US both bilaterally and in international affairs.
