His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to attend a welcoming reception and Olympic Banquet.

Upon arrival at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, His Majesty was welcomed by the President of the People's Republic of China, Hu Jintao and wife, Madam Liu Yong Qing. Shortly after the reception, His Majesty consented to attend the Olympic Banquet hosted by China's President, RTB reported.
