His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience three outgoing Ambassadors and one High Commissioner.

Mr Conrad Karl Cappell Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Patrick Bonneville Ambassador of the Republic of France and Mr Ahmad bin Mohammad bin Zaher Al-Hinai, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman and Mr Leopold Battel, High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam.

His Majesty first consented to receive in audience the outgoing Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Conrad Karl Cappell. He had presented his credentials the July 8, 2004.

His Majesty then received the out-going Ambassador of the Republic of France, Mr Patrick Bonneville. He had presented his credentials on August 11, 2005.

His Majesty then consented to receive in audience Mr Ahmad bin Mohammad bin Zaher Al-Hinai, the outgoing Ambassador for the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam. He has presented his credentials on November 1, 2005.

His Majesty then consented to receive in audience Mr. Leopold Battel, the outgoing High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam. He had presented his credentials on November 6, 2006.

Meanwhile in a separate audience ceremony, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to receive in audience the wives of the outgoing envoys.

Her Majesty first consented to receive Mrs. Lieselore Cappell, wife of the outgoing Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Conrad Karl Cappell.

Her Majesty then granted an audience to Mrs. Christiane Bonneville, wife of Mr Patrick Bonneville, the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of France.

Her Majesty Raja Isteri then consented received in audience Madam Amima binti Mohammad Said Al Riyami, the wife of the Omani Amabassador Mr Ahmad bin Mohammad bin Zaher Al-Hinai. The audience ceremonies were held at the Istana Nurul Iman.

Meanwhile His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also received calls from the four outgoing foreign envoys, yesterday.
