His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send a congratulatory message to Mr Anibal Cavaco Silva, the President of the Republic of Portugal, on the occasion of the country's National Day.

In the message, His Majesty congratulated the president, government and people of the Republic of Portugal. His Majesty looks forward to strengthening ties between the two countries as partners in regional and international organisations in future.
