A tug-of-war competition for Tutong District in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 63rd birthday was held last Friday at the field of Sekolah Rendah Muda Hashim, Tutong.

The challenge, hosted by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, selected champion representatives for the national level competition in July.

The championship was divided into three categories. Category A is for light-weight participants, B for heavy-weights and C for teenagers.

Eighteen teams took part in the challenge.

The next round will be held on a Sunday afternoon when all teams will compete against each other in the same category. - Borneo Bulletin (10th May 2009)
