His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibni Al-Hussien, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, yesterday arrived in Brunei.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was present to welcome King Abdullah at the airport.

Also present were His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah.

King Abdullah is in Brunei to attend the opening of the 2009 International Defence Exhibition (BRIDEX) today.

In May last year, King Abdullah visited Brunei and discussed with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam means to bolster bilateral ties and issues of concern to the Islamic world. - Borneo Bulletin (11th August 2009)
