His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday consented to receive in audience three newly-appointed foreign envoys, High Commissioner Wendell J Sanford of Canada, High Commissioner M Shameem Ahsan of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Ambassador Dr Viktor Mashtabei of the Republic of Ukraine to Brunei at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.

His Royal Highness welcomed the three foreign envoys and discussed bilateral matters.

Canadian High Commissioner Wendell J Sanford previously served as the Director at the Oceans and Environmental Law Division of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Canada.

High Commissioner M Shameem Ahsan was the former Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Ambassador Dr Viktor Mashtabei is currently based in Singapore. - Borneo Bulletin (11th Jan 2009)
