His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday granted audience to Asean Ministers for Agriculture and Forestry with Plus three partners, People's Republic of China, Japan and Republic of Korea. Also present was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

The ministers are Mr Chan Tong Yves of Cambodia, Mr H Suswono of Indonesia, Mr Sitaheng Rasphone of People's Democratic Republic of Laos, Dato' Mohd Johari Baharum of Malaysia, Major General Htay Oo of Myanmar, Atty Arthur C Yapp of the Republic of the Philippines, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman of the Republic of Singapore, Mr Theera Wongsamut of Thailand, Dr Cao Duc Phat of Vietnam, Mr Zhang Taolin of People's Republic of China, Hidenori Murakami of Japan and Mr Byunggrin Yoo of Republic of Korea.

Also in attendance were the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Deputy Minister Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamdillah bin Haji Abdul Wahab and the Permanent Secretary Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Hamid bin Haji Jaafar.

The Asean ministers are here to attend the 31st Meeting of the Asean Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (31st AMAF) and the Ninth Meeting of the Asean Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry Plus Three (9th AMAF +3) from November 7 to 12 in Brunei Darussalam.
