Sultan at wreath laying ceremony

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam began the second day of his official visit to the Russian Federation with a wreath laying ceremony at the Alexanderovskiy Garden, Kremlin Wall.

Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul 'Azim; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Colonel Mikhail Filimonov, Deputy Military Commander of Moscow, and senior officials of the Russian Federation.

His Majesty laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, followed by a 'minute of silence'.

Later, the National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam was played. In a separate programme, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar visited the State Diamond Fund Museum in Kremlin. - Borneo Bulletin (13th October 2009)
