His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, yesterday afternoon consented to receive in separate audiences two newly-appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam from friendly nations.

There were Mr Hirose Noriki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, and Lt Gen (Rtd) Sallah ud Din, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The two envoys presented their respective letter of credentials before His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Istana Nurul Iman on November 7, 2009. - Borneo Bulletin (15th November 2009)
