His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Mary McAleese, President of the Republic of Ireland, on the occasion of St Patrick's Day.

His Majesty congratulated the Irish President, as well as the government and people of Ireland on the occasion of St Patrick's Day.
