His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam (photo above) yesterday consented to attend the funeral of the late YAM Pengiran Lela Negara Pengiran Haji Mohammad Ibni Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman who passed away aged 81 on Friday evening at RIPAS Hospital.

Also attending was Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Masna.

The late YAM was given the Cheteria title of YAM Pengiran Lela Negara in April 1979 with the consent of His Majesty.

He was awarded several state medals and decorations and was also appointed as a Supervisor at the Public Works Department.

The late YAM Pengiran Lela Negara Pengiran Haji Mohammad was buried yesterday at the Royal Mausoleum. - Borneo Bulletin (20th September 2009)
