His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium, on the occasion of the country's National Day.

In the message to His Majesty King Albert II, His Majesty the Sultan expressed delight in presenting His Majesty's warmest National Day congratulations to His Majesty King Albert II and to the government and people of the Kingdom of Belgium.

His Majesty the Sultan also stated that the people of Brunei joined His Majesty in expressing His Majesty's great appreciation for the warm friendship and close cooperation shared by the peoples of Brunei Darussalam and Belgium.

His Majesty the Sultan also sent His Majesty's best wishes to His Majesty King Albert II and all members of the royal family. - Borneo Bulletin (21st July 2009)
