His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-pertuan of Brunei Darussalam last evening consented to join his subjects in a mass Maghrib and Isya prayer to mark the 25th Silver Jubilee National Day anniversary at the Sir Omar Ali Saifuddien mosque in the capital yesterday.

Accompanying His Majesty were HRH Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, HRH Prince Hj 'Abdul Azim, HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik and HRH Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Yahya bin Hj Ibrahim headed the mass prayers, while the 'Sunat Hajat' prayer was headed by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Hj Sulaiman bin Awang Hj Besar.

The 'Surah Yassin' was led by Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman and a doa was led by Pehin Dato Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Hj Awang Abd Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Pehin Dato Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Abdul Hamid bin Bakal led the mass Isya' prayer.
