His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah hosted a farewell luncheon for Virginia H Benavidez, the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines yesterday afternoon.

The farewell luncheon took place at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan. Also in attendance was Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz.

Ms Virginia H Benavidez has been Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines since April 2002. She will be ending her tour of duty in Brunei Darussalam at the end of this month. - Borneo Bulletin (24th June 2009)
