His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to send a congratulatory message to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.
In the message, His Majesty expressed his delight over the setting up of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Bandar Seri Begawan. His Majesty is confident that with the opening of the embassy, ties and cooperation between both countries will continue to be strenghened in the years to come.
His Majesty also hopes that His Highness and the people of Kuwait will enjoy continued progress and prosperity.
His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent a similar congratulatory message to Sheikh Dr Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.
His Royal Highness conveyed his deepest respect to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other members of the royal family, as well as the government and people of Kuwait, on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.
"I am delighted that your government has now established an embassy in Brunei Darussalam. I am sure that this will do much to enhance our friendship and cooperation," His Royal Highness said in the message.
