His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send a congratulatory message to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the country's Independence Day.

In the message, His Majesty expressed much pleasure in sending his congratulations to the president, government and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan on their Independence Day.

His Majesty looks forward to continuing to work with the Azerbaijan President to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Brunei and Azerbaijan, bilaterally and as partners in regional and international cooperation.
