Crown Prince at CHOGM

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), attended a Special Session on Climate Change, on November 27.

Also present at this session were United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, and Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen of Denmark.

Prior to the Special Session, His Royal Highness joined other Commonwealth leaders at a Restricted Session where the leaders considered the Order and Adoption of the CHOGM Agenda.

His Royal Highness on Friday evening attended a dinner hosted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in honour of the Commonwealth Leaders attending CHOGM 2009.

Earlier on Friday morning, His Royal Highness attended the opening ceremony of CHOGM at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA).

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth officiated the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. A Cultural Performance was also presented during the ceremony.

Later, His Royal Highness attended a joint reception hosted by Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Mr Patrick Manning, and Commonwealth Secretary General Mr Kamalesh Sharma, in honour of the Commonwealth Leaders attending CHOGM 2009.

Prior to the opening ceremony, His Royal Highness joined other Commonwealth leaders for breakfast at the NAPA.
