Royal congratulatory messages to Malaysia

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to His Majesty Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XIII of Malaysia and Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the Independence Day of Malaysia.

In His Majesty's message to His Majesty Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, His Majesty has expressed his pleasure at the long standing close relations and friendship that exist between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia. His Majesty also expressed his great confidence that these strong ties and cooperation would always be maintained and further enhanced for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty together with Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar prayer to Allah the Almighty for the Tuanku Nur Zahirah as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the Malaysian people.

In a similar congratulatory message to Dato' Sri Mohd Najib, His Majesty congratulated Dato' Sri Mohd Najib and the government and people of Malaysia on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the Independence Day of Malaysia.

His Majesty expressed his pleasure at the close relations and cooperation that continued to exist between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia. His Majesty expressed his confidence that the state of these good relations would continue and be further strengthened at both the bilateral and multilateral levels. His Majesty also prayed to Allah the Almighty that Dato' Sri and family would remain in good health and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Datuk Anifah Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.

"After a very busy year that marked 25 years of diplomatic relations between our countries, I would like to express my great appreciation for the friendship and cooperation we have enjoyed.
