The Department of Electrical Services, Prime Minister's Office, yesterday announced the holding of the annual lighting competition in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's birthday celebrations.

The competition will be conducted in the categories of Kampung Ayer and land residences, private buildings, mukims and kampongs.

Closing date to return entry forms is June 18, at 4pm, DES said.

DES said by allowing more time to hand in applications, it aims for the participation of more people to ensure a grand and joyful celebration full of colour and bright lights. - Borneo Bulletin (4th June 2009)
