Sultan congratulates Thai King on 82nd birthday

His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand on the occasion of his 82nd birthday today.

In his message, His Majesty and the people of Brunei Darussalam expressed their great satisfaction with the warm friendship and close cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Thailand. His Majesty looks forward to continuing to work together in strengthening these much-valued relations as close partners both bilaterally as well as within the framework of Asean.

His Majesty also expressed his gratitude for the hospitality extended to him during the 15th Asean Summit held in Hua Hin, Thailand recently.

In ending his message, His Majesty conveyed his personal best wishes for the continued good health and happiness of King Bhumibol Adulyadej as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Kasit Piromya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on the occasion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej 82nd birthday.

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah said, "I am pleased to send my deep respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and all the members of the Royal Family, together with my congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand on the 82nd anniversary of His Majesty's birthday".

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah also said, "I would like to express my great appreciation to the Kingdom of Thailand for its chairmanship of our regional association this year and thank you and your staff for the gracious hospitality and all the arrangements made for us during the many meetings you have hosted".
