His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday received Letters of Credentials from four newly appointed foreign envoys to the Sultanate.
His Majesty received Letters of Credentials from Mr Alexander B Yano, the new Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei; Mr Robert Dominic Russell Fenn, the new High Commissioner of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Brunei; Mr Christian Anthony Vhiruri, the High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea to Brunei; and Mr Julian Wilson, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Commission.
Following the ceremony, His Majesty granted separate audience to all the newly appointed foreign envoys from the Republic of the Philippines, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Papua New Guinea and the European Commission.
The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, Alexander B Yano, 56, previously served as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Mr Robert Dominic Russell Fenn previously served as the Deputy High Commissioner in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The non-resident Ambassador of Papua New Guinea to Brunei Darussalam, Christian Anthony Vhiruri, 52, held the post of Consul General in Brisbane, Australia, while Mr Julian Wilson, 49, is also currently the Ambassador and Head of Delegation to Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
