Around 120 officers and staff at the Attorney - General's Chambers (AGC) attended a ceremony to celebrate the Hijrah New Year yesterday at the Law and Courts Building in Jalan Tutong.

Guest of honour at the ceremony was Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah.

Also present was the Attorney General, Datin Paduka Hajah Hayati Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh as well as officers and staff at the Attorney - General's Chambers.

The ceremony began with the recitation of surah al-fatihah by Law Advisor Muhd Adi Faisal Hj Omar. The highlight of the ceremony was a special lecture delivered by the head of Temburong District Religious Officer from the Dakwah Islamic Centre, Awang Haji Mail Haji Besar, where he touched on the work ethics in civil service. - Borneo Bulletin (10th January 2010)
